Welcome to CycleBirdRGV. I'm Mark and my objective is to present stories and information on sites in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas.

From Roma to South Padre Island, I will submit posts on locations ideal for walking, hiking, birding, cycling, wildlife viewing and the appreciation of nature. I will offer stories and information mostly through first person narratives, photographs, videos, and maps. Stories are based on my experiences cycling, walking and hiking in National Wildlife Refuges, State Parks, county and city parks, and other areas in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV).
